Abstract

Job appraisal must be directly related to job analysis, determining work output which includes tasks performed, individual competencies, provider activities and budgeting responsibilities for incumbents. Employee work is used as a benchmark whether the goals and objectives set are appropriate and the extent to which they are successful. Work is seen as an effort to explore the abilities and skills possessed by employees who are developed as much as possible. This study aims to analyze the effect of cultural Control and job satisfaction on improving field performance at the PUPR Office of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data analysis was performed by classical assumption test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed that the t value was positive at 1,638 and 2,332, respectively. The statistical results of the t-test for the variables of cultural Control and job satisfaction obtained a significance value of 0.111 which is greater than 0.05, so it can be interpreted that there is no significant influence between cultural Control (X?) on improving field performance (Y). The statistically significant result 0.026 is smaller than the error tolerance = 0.05 (Ha accepted means that H? is rejected, so it can be concluded that the Job Satisfaction variable (X?) has a significant effect on the dependent variable of Field Performance Improvement (Y). Linear regression test results with the Adjust R Square coefficient of 0.399, it shows that there is a relationship that is not strong enough between the independent variables and the dependent variable because the number is almost close to 1. This is because the amount of the relationship is <50%, which is 39.9%.
